Generally, there are two options available when selecting a track material.  These options are:

    1 - Polyurethane based systems
    2 - Latex based systems
      
Details regarding each of these systems follow:

POLYURETHANE BASED SYSTEMS

The long-wearing running track surfaces use single and/or two component polyurethane and rubber components to form the actual track surface. We offer the following:

BASIC POLYURETHANE SYSTEM

	Black mat machine applied to a 10 mm or 13 mm finished depth
	Final surface comprised of 80% rubber granules and 20% liquid polyurethane binder
	The most commonly specified polyurethane track system for high school and community use

BASIC PLUS POLYURETHANE SYSTEM

	Basic black mat machine applied to a 10 mm depth
	Additional 3 mm top coat of coloured EPDM rubber granules
	Basic Plus system is used primarily for national or regional competitions

LATEX SYSTEMS

Instead of using expensive polyurethane materials, a latex system employs the more cost-efficient latex binder with rubber granules. 

	Recent polyresin technology advancement incorporate environmentally safe water based resins which meet the rigorous athletic standards set by the International Amateur Athletic Federation
	Latex track systems are quickly becoming a popular alternative to polyurethane systems
	Surface finishes are available in a wide range of colours
